Acadia Center is seeking an Energy and Climate Policy Analyst to research and prepare materials to advance clean energy, climate, consumer, public health and energy justice goals. The position will play a key role in using analysis and data to advance organizational initiatives such as energy efficiency and building electrification, clean transportation, clean energy and power grid, ending fossil fuel use and the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI). The position will also be responsible for conducting analysis aimed at developing a better understanding of the connections between environmental justice issues and all technical areas of focus. The Energy and Climate Policy Analyst will apply sound research and analysis to tackle large scale climate, clean energy, and energy justice challenges. Acadia Center’s theory of change prioritizes credible information to inform recommendations, reframe debates and build support for change. The Policy Analyst will research and prepare both independent reports and analysis to support Acadia Center’s priority initiatives to accelerate, shape and implement reforms that achieve a climate safe future. Candidates should be excited by opportunities to use data to inform public policy and enjoy exploring creative ways to communicate their findings to broad audiences. The Energy and Climate Policy Analyst will present research and policy recommendations to stakeholders and policymakers in a variety of forums. The position reports to the Senior Manager, Climate and Energy Analysis and will work with program, communications and development staff. Current priority areas include energy efficiency, building electrification, clean transportation, energy system and energy justice issues.  Location: Acadia Center offices remain closed due to the pandemic and all work is remote. Preference for Hartford, CT or Boston, MA; other locations will be considered.
