GAIA U.S. & Canada Regional Director will work with members and supervise regional staff to set a critical path for current and future work, and lead GAIA’s campaigns and strategies in the U.S. & Canada. This is a position with significant growth and professional learning opportunities, as part of the growing movement for zero waste and ending incineration and plastic pollution.The successful candidate will be an effective networker and team leader, skilled at building alignment across diverse contexts. The candidate will be motivated to plan and implement national strategies in collaboration with environmental justice organizations, frontline grassroots organizations, and other allies to defeat “waste-to-energy” incineration. They will be excited by the opportunity to increase member involvement and amplify the impact of local campaigns for zero waste strategies and ending incineration, and to collaborate horizontally with and take leadership from grassroots organizers in the network. The Regional Director will also have fundraising and resource mobilization experience, capable of building key donor and partner relationships to support the strategies of GAIA’s network.Leadership Profile
